Been looking for a home security camera lately and this article has been pretty helpful.
Personally i like the wireless types which allows me to view my home from the office to ensure the kids are safe.
Thou such camera installation in Singapore can be pricey, ranging between 1k – 2k++ i do think the investment is worth the money.
Rent or own, we all want to know our homes are secure while we’re gone. That used to mean signing on with a professional—and pricey—security service like ADT. But the boom in wireless security cameras is putting home surveillance into our own hands>
These close cousins of webcams require minimal installation and offer flexible setups and a range of security features. Indeed, the offers vary widely by camera, and navigating them all gets more daunting as this category grows ever more crowded. To help you find the best security camera for your needs, we’ve outlined the key features to consider and tested six of the newest, most high-profile models.
Recently had a feng shui master to come do some reading in my office. In case you maybe wondering what feng shui is you can read it up on wiki. While i am not a believer on most stuff that comes without scientific backing, i do find fengshui fascinating.
Feng shui on a personal view is something about finding the right balance within your home. I like fengshui that deals with balancing the element in a location. Harmonising the elements within your home. While of course the fengshui master took in consideration on issue bigger than this but on a basic level this is a concept that i felt i could accept.
The issue i faced after engaging a master to do the reading is that there are some recommandation which i would not want to follow. I am lucky that the feng shui master i engaged does not require me to buy any stuff from him (i have friends that spend thousands of dollars just for some ugly jade). He does however insist on changing the direction of the main door. This is because in feng shui, the door is the entrance of the chi to a home/office. As such its position plays a big deal in the entire fengshui of the location.
Now changing the direction may sound like small work but it is in reality a huge work (as witness by myself) and the worst thing was that there is rarely any contractor here in Singapore that does such work.
After a long search i got lucky finding someone that did it and i will be leaving their contact at the end for anyone whom needs such service.
Basically the work involves:
- hacking of wall to remove the frame and the door
- rebuilding up the wall hacked
- replastering the wall and reinstalling the frame
- realigning the door.
The moment i heard hacking of wall my head started to spin. The mess, the noise and the fuss. Thankfully the door repair contractor that i engage is nice enough to try and minimize all of the above for me especially the mess portion where everything is cleaned up before they left.
The work itself started at 9am sharp so that they can finish it before the day end or else i wont even have a door to close for the night!
anyway as promise the door repair contractor can be found at www.singaporedoorrepair.com.
To conclude, do i regret engaging a feng shui master? Not really. Is the work worth it? i do hope so. Is my door working fine? Yes it is. In fact i do like the way it is now compared to before.
The zika virus is scaring singaporeans left right and centre. While there are some unhappiness on how the local authorities are handling the issue (delayed announcement and probably action). Along with the craze of pokemon, i do hope that the spread does not get as bad as how SARs was like.
The economy on whole is already a lot quieter than what it was before and now with this virus scare, it is likely that things are just going to get worst. Friends of mine in various industry – retail, service are already complaining on how bad things are. Those whom are earning by commission are those worst affected by all the ongoing.
anyway you can follow on the zika virus reports on stomp as well as all other news outlet.
First and foremost i am neither a PAP supporter nor a workers party supporter. In fact if i am to classify myself, i am one the bo chup voter.
Probably one of the many in the 70% that voted for the PAP in the last GE (hey at least give me a good opponent to consider from such as the worker party or CSJ).
Still the 1 thing that irks me is how the press are controlled. There are better things to report and that should be reported rather than this AHTC audit issue if you ask me. No i am not saying this is not important but the follow up news on such negative potraying news towards the worker party is always on the ball yet when it comes to negative news on the ruling party we usually get to see it a few times when the news is hot (sometimes just once) than a follow up sometime back after everything has cooled down and the case is close.
But for this case i think he is just being reported to remind us about the problems within worker party at a regular interval and sometimes, it isn't even news worthy. So what if the documents are not submitted. There are several problems that voters like us are talking about on facebook that doesnt even have much of an answer till date. Politics is dirty? yes it is. But biasness of the press….that should not be the case.

WOW!Just WOW! I think this is a awesome project. Might have some technical issues implementing in a grown city like Singapore but it would be awesome if this comes true.
It is just like how you would imagined the future would be. This my friend is why China would continue to grow as a super power. Not only are they able to copy stuff faster and cheaper, their innovation is slowly increasing.

Just in case you are wondering how those “trending topics” appear on your facebook page. It kinda feels like how Google determines their organic ranking (which i kinda dislike right now due to increament in the number of ads that are blocking the first page).
I think it is important that such companies realize the importance of their role in our lives. They provide us with information, sometimes crucial information.
I really do hope what happened to baidu where a human life is lost would never happen on Google or facebook as the number of users worldwide is high. I do see Google doing some censorship on it's own but facebook does seem a bit more lenient on this as i see all kinda of medical and quick get rich scheme appearing on facebook.

Wow despite all the problems with their diesel car, volkswagon seems to be making the right move when it comes to solar energy taping. Solar panels on the roof just hope it does not affect the design too much but i guess there is some price to be paid for the eco friendlyness. Read more on it in the article below:
